standalone="no" attribute in xml output of sender SFTP channel

Hello Experts,

In our PI landscape, we currently have several sender SFTP channels using Advantco SFTP adapter. These channels were configured long back, probably when FCC feature was not present in the SAP standard SFTP adapter.

Now, we are trying to replace the Advantco adapter with the standard SAP SFTP adapter since the FCC feature has now been included in the standard adapter. I did create one channel with SAP SFTP adapter having FCC in it, the xml output of this new channel matches exactly with that of Advantco channel, except the "standalone="no"" tag that comes every time the channel processes the .txt file from source server.

Any thoughts on why this is happening. This tag/attribute is not present in the xml generated by Advantco SFTP channel. Also, we do have some standard SFTP channel already in our Prod environment but they are not using the FCC message processing protocol, instead using the MTB. Our Production environment is 7.31. The Dev environment, in which I am trying to test the channel with standard SFTP FCC is on 7.4.

I am trying to understand why this attribute is getting added and if it will be present for every channel that we create using standard SFTP adapter. Please help. Thanks.

Hi Faisal!

Do you have any issues depending on this declaration?

Actually, "standalone" directive is the optional attribute and "no" is the default value for it. So it shouldn't affect message processing anyhow.

Hello Evgeniy,

No issues noticed as such. the data also processed fine at the target system.

I am just trying to understand the actual cause of why this attribute is getting triggered. Since, we will be converting all the Advantco SFTP channels to SAP standard SFTP channels, will this directive be always present in the corresponding xml outputs?

Also, as I mentioned, we already have few channels using SAP standard SFTP adapter, but without FCC, and their xml DO NOT contain this directive.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Faisal

Hi Faisal!

I guess that FCC processing code in SFTP adapter just adds this attribute to XML header by default and it's hardcoded.

And when you use SFTP without FCC, your source XML just stays untouched by adapter.
