Conversion routines are used to convert data from source systems to BW compatible data
Conversion routines can be written in Transfer/Update Rules.
U can wirte conversion routines in update rule to convert the currencies and to change the date formats
To convert to Uppercase (transfer structure)
To convert Values out of a third party tool with different keys into the same keys as our SAP System uses (transfer structure)
To select only a part of the data for from an infosource updating the InfoCube (Start Routine) etc.
