A standard REGEX for Telephone numbers

Hello All,

Does any one have a valid REGEX expression with which we can validate a telephone number? I did try the below one (got it from the net), but NWDS did not recognize the expression.

"/([\(\+])?([0-9]{1,3}([\s])?)?([\+|\(|\-|\)|\s])?([0-9]{2,4})([\-|\)|\.|\s]([\s])?)?([0-9]{2,4})?([\.|\-|\s])?([0-9]{4,8})/"
