    Hello Mathew,

When you do any posting in Inventory management or Invoice verification, the system will determine G/L account in the following way.

Key values which helps to trigger G/L account automatic

    1. Chart of Account

    2. Transaction Event key

    3. Valuation Grouping Code

    4. Account modifier key

    5. Valuation Class

When you do transaction in Inventory management, for example post GR with MIGO (101 mvt type)

    1. Based on Plant it will identify Company code and based on company code it will identify Chart of Account.

    2. Mvt type (101) is assigned to Transaction Event Key in Mvt type configuration (OMJJ t-code)

    3. Based on Plant it will identify valuation area and valuation area will determin Valuation grouping code ( T-code OMWD)

    4. Only for offsetting entries (GBB), consignment liabilities (KON), and price differences (PRD), the account modifier key is identified from mvt type.

    5. Material Master / Number will determine Valuation Class

We are making the combination in OBYC transaction using the avobe keys which helps to determine G/L account automatically.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards

in omwb or obyc or fbkp for bsx etc you assign a g/l to the valuation area( or related , check in the tcode) so in migo you pick eg a movement type 100 , the system picks the g/l 50000 as the movement type 100 was linked to the g/l 50000

this an example of the concept, the exact thing may differ.

    plz assign points if helpfull

    Hi Mathew,

At GR you Debit Your Inventory Account and the BSX will dirve which Inventory GL account to and WRX Key will drive which GR/IR account to post to.

Subsequently at Invoice your GR/IR will be debited postinga credit on Vendor.

Pls provide points if found usefull.

    Hi

Transaction key WRX contains the GL accounts for GRIR.

Transaction key BSX contains the GL accounts for stock accounts.

Normally the stock accounts and GRIR accounts will be different for each material type FERT, HALB and ROH. The valuation class assigned in the material determines which GRIR account to be posted and which stock account to be posted.

    Thanks

    Ashok
