Now i have the problem that in communication channel monitoring the mail adapter has a red LED with the comment "not initialized" ...

How can I activate the adapter? Whats wrong??

Yes, the adapter has been activated in the IB:Directory... all other adapters (my file adapters) are working correctly... I also tried to define a new channel with mail adapter... the same problem...

I perfomed some cache refreshes... nothing changed...

any ideas?

- check that thread. The last post says that it was resolved by restarting the entry for the particular adapter in Vis. Adm.

Check if it helps you.

Okay, I restarted the Adapter in the Visual Admin... nothing changed...

I restarted the whole server... again no solution... channel monitoring still sais "not initialized"

In the properties tab ob the mail adapter in Visual Admin there are no entries (only in additional infos). In all other adapters are some entries... usual?

Solved the problem!

The Problem was, that in the url for the smtp server I didn't enter the "smtp://" suffix... I Didn't know that ist is necessary... bad error message from the XI...

okay problem solved, thank you for your help! I'll give some points...

Hi,

Please make sure that the mail adapter has been configured and deployed in your Web Application server.

Also, please contact your basis team for further progress.

Kiran..

Have you activated the adapter ?

Also in case you have recently done a SP upgrade i recommend a restart of the server.
