    Hi!

You know there are lot many fields required to carry out any business process(Example:- for sales order creation you will require fields like Sold-to-party, PO number, Material Name, quantity, shipping point, payment terms etc.).

Such required fields are collected and arranged on a screen in a manner suitable for the business process. Such a collection & their arrangements are saved as a screen variants.

Now if you see any transaction it has lot many screens(Example:- the Sales order creation overview has screens like Sales, Item overview, Ordering party, shipping etc.). So, a transaction is collection and logical arrangements of the screen variants. This collection and logical arrangements of the screen variants is saved and called a transaction variant.

This transaction variant is now assigned to a transaction.

Thus whenever you go to a transaction you will find the transaction variant which is nothing but a collection of screen variants and you know what is a screen variant now.

    Reward if helpful.

    Regards,

    PATHIK
