connection between SAP EP and MS SQL 2000

Hi friends,

I am doing one project in EP .. i want to display the employee details in portal using table.. i want to retrieve the employee records from MS SQL server 2000 database.. how to establish the connection between EP and Ms Sql.. Please send me the

steps ..
