MDM SP4 Web Services Not able to Connect

Former Member

Hello,

I am trying to use standard MDM SP4 webservice.

I deployed MDM_WEB_SERVICES_550.sca and also did required setting in visual composer as mentioned in the follwing blog.

<a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/30a97ac6-c884-2910-c6ad-bae0de29e67b">MDM SP4 Web Services.</a>

But,When I am testing <b>mdmsearch</b> webservice with correct repository, port, mdm server details with other required parametes as mentioned in the blog. I am getting the follwing error.

Problem while connecting to MDM repository "MyRep" on server "myserver" at port "2311". Maybe the Repository-Information has not been set correctly at the requested query!

To confirm the connection parameters,I wrote sample java program using mdm java api and run from the was server and i am able to connect to the same.

Is there other sca files need to be deployed on WAS to work with sp4 standard web services.

Hi Ramu,

I apologize, but if your are sure, that you set everything correctly, it is better to handle this via support. Please create an OSS message.

Kind regards,

Andreas

Make sure you have the right version of MDMJ api and MDM Java Connector.

To make sure, undeploy both the components using Software Deployment Manager.

Download the SCAs from the service market place. Make sure the MDM Server and the api are compatible.

Deploy the MDMJ followed by mdm java connector and then the web services.

Follow the configuration for web services.

Hi Ramu,

are you sure, that you did the configuration in the visual administrator for the web services ? You need to specify the logon data that should be used by the web services.Configuration Adapter --> (..) --> appcfg --> Propertysheet

Please note, that VC currently can not consume the MDM Web Services directly.

Kind regards

Andreas

Hello Experts:

I am doing a smoke test for the MDM search web services. I installed the required files (all the 4) through SDM and created a search user in MDM and the same search user in VA. When I am doing the test through the Web Services Navigator, I am getting the following error:

Problem while connecting to MDM repository: Material_Ext on server: xxxxxx.com at port: xxxx. Maybe the Repository-Information has not been set correctly at the requested query.

I appreciate any help on this.

Thanks.

I have the same question.

Yes I did. The repository info, servername etc., are case sensitive. Hope it works. Also I restarted the application in VA and it worked. Try and let me know the results.
