    Here is an example showing how to attach custom search help on a field.

    report zrich_0001 .

    data: begin of itab occurs 0,
          field type char10,
          descp type char30,
          end of itab.

    select-options: s_field for itab-field.

    initialization.

    itab-field = 'ABC'.
    itab-descp = 'Description ABC'.
    append itab.

    itab-field = 'DEF'.
    itab-descp = 'Description DEF'.
    append itab.

    itab-field = 'GHI'.
    itab-descp = 'Description GHI'.
    append itab.

    at selection-screen on value-request for s_field-low.

      call function 'F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST'
           exporting
                retfield    = 'FIELD'
                dynprofield = 'S_FIELD'
                dynpprog    = sy-cprog
                dynpnr      = sy-dynnr
                value_org   = 'S'
           tables
                value_tab   = itab.

    start-of-selection.
