can anybody please let me cleared regarding the difference between request & data packet.

Hi Boggiti , a request is one that is generated at the time when u load the data through infopackage for a particular data target . Each load is having one request no. .. This request is in the data target if u want to delete thhe data corresponding to that request then u can do it by simply deleting the request .. THis request is stored in the data target ..
Now for each request we a some amount of data , now this data is transffered to BW in small chunks known as data packet. So a request contain no. of data packets ...

A request is one sent by the BW system to the source system when an infopackage is triggered requesting for data transfer. The data is sent in the form of data packets with the specified size given in the settings for packet size. A request contains n number of data packets for one single load.....
