F-92 Retirement

Hi,

I am posting retirement using F-92, but in the second line I selected

Asset Retirement check box and press enter

Now while entering "Create Asset Retirement" screen, it is not accepting the transaction type 210 or 260

<b>selected 210 error

"Posting with trans.type 210 not possible (No acquisition posted)"</b>

Message no. AA324

Diagnosis

Transaction type 210 belongs to a transaction type group, which can only be used to post to assets to which posting has already been performed. However, no postings have been made to this asset.

Procedure

Use a transaction type from a transaction type group, which can be used for the first acquisition to an asset.

*******************************************************************************

I<b> selected 260 - error

You cannot post to this asset again (Retirement already posted)</b>

Message no. AA306

Diagnosis

In the current document, a retirement has already been posted for this asset. For technical reasons, you cannot post further to this asset in the same document.

System response

The transaction is terminated in order to prevent data inconsistency.

Pls suggest solution

Regards

sunfico

    Hello,

    Check the following:

    a. Acquisition already posted to the asset. Go to AW01n and go to transactions for the asset and check the same.

    b. Check whether the acquisition date is updated in the asset master

    c. Check whether the asset has been deactivated in the asset master. The field for deactivation date should not have got filled.

    d. Check whether the retirement for the asset has already been posted.

    Regards

    Anantha
