hi all

Am doing an idoc to file scenario with ftp. i ve sent the idoc from r/3 to xi and reached xi and the required mapping is done. the message reached file adapter also. But when its about to create the file its saying that the particular folder cant be accessed i.e. access denied. Am trying to place the file in a machine where xi server doesn't have access. So i gave

Server : machine name

Port :21

User : username that can login to that machine and has admin privilege

Can u plzzzzzzz suggest a possible solution for this

Hi,

Try to check the Slash the in the adapter setting under Folder option try to specify the path by using backward slash like "\usr\temp\" . Try to specify the file name like "xyz.txt". So that file will be placed under FTP Server access folder it will create subdirectories like \usr\temp\xyz.txt. Try to check FTP Server access folder i.e. folder your mentioning while configuring the FTP Server. If your using Windows, you can make a system FTP Complaint with help of IIS server configuration. If this is the case you can check this under MyComputer->Manage->services and applications ->FTP-> Default site try to see the properties where you view FTP server access folder. If this is not case try to user Filezilla like third paty FTP Client tools to test.

HI,

With ref to your prob. i understand that you are not having the proper access/authentication to create a folder/file in FTP.

First try to open it through browser if the FTP is on Windows , open through command prompt if it is on UNIX, ther you need to give the user name and pwd.

If you dont have the UID,PWD then login as Ananamous user there it will ask email address (by default one mail will be there dont change if you are not having the email add).

If you are able to open then yu can create it.

Also check the FTP receiver CC configuration parameters.

Check with the access rights. ensure this folder in the FTP location could accessed from your machine. If not have the RW permission granted and then try executing the scenario.

Hi,

Can you try accessing the ftp server from your XI box? Make sure you are doing this from your XI box and not your local work station...

If the FTP server is based on Windows platform, you can open the window and using the Server name try to access the the FTP server and try manually writing a file into the same folder.

If the FTP server is based on UNIX, use command prompt and use this command

ftp <FTP server name or IP>

now try put command here to place a file.

Verify if can suceed in this...

Hi,

1) >>> Am trying to place the file in a machine where xi server doesn't have access

Check whether firewall causes the issue

2)Check whether you have given the correct path ( Slash )

3) >>>Server : machine name

Port :21

User : username that can login to that machine and has admin privilege

Which machine access you are using ?
