"W2 Reprint" service in ESS

Hi

Has anyone used "W2 Reprint" service in ESS before?

Can anybody say how does this work? I have read the online documentation, but it doesnot give much information.

Where will the request go after submission?Does it go to the chief of Org.unit?

Is there a way, where we can bring the W2 form for the employee into ESS, so that he can print it?

Hi John

You may to try the following advice:

1. go to the IMG, under:

Cross-Application Components

-> Homepage Framework

-> Services

-> Define Services

Check if the case of W2Reprint is correct.If not correct it.

2. If after change, the link dissapears from homepage, please refer to

OSS note 808111.

3. Restart J2EE Engine after this change.

Thanks for the reply.

I can see the link and its working alright( meaning, I am able to select an option from the three choices and send the request of "reprint").

But I dont understand, to where does the request go. Is a workflow started which sends a work item to the inbox of 'chief of org.unit"?

And also, this service just provides a way for requesting a reprint of W2 form,Is it possible to bring the W2 form into ESS, so that employee can print it.

Any help is highly appreciated.

Hi John,

No it is not possible to bring the W2 form into ESS so that the employee can print it.

This application just helps the employee to tell his employer where he wants to send the application. According to his request submitted in this application, the employer will send the from manually to either his home adress/permanent address etc., depending on what he has selected in the application.

Can you please tell me how, the request submitted by the employee, is handled? In other words, what is the process involved(in SAP) afer the request button is clicked?

Is there a standard ESS workflow? To whom does the request go to? payroll administration or chief of org.unit or ......................

Hi john,

The function module HRXSS_US_START_WORKFLOW will start the workflow The workflow is described in the SAP Workflow Builder ( Workflow WS01000090).

The workflow is necessary to inform a responsible person (see the last task TS01000140 of the workflow). The responsible person is found via the rule 60100010 – “HR Administrator”.

I cannot see any services or resource in ECC for W2 reprint, Can you let me know how to correct this issue?
