Hi,

Can any body tell me wat is the main difference between XI(3.0) and PI(7.0). wat are the major changes.

PI 7.0 and SP10(is the latest one)</b> is a part of Nw2004s

Currently, since all SPs for PI 7.0 are also being released for XI 3.0, there aren't many differences. However, at some point of time, SAP will discontinue support for XI 3.0.

So, you basically have 2 options:

- if you already own XI 3.0, patch it up to SP19 and be happy ;

- if you are considering buying a system, go for netweaver 2004s (including PI 7.0).

XI 3.0 is a part of Nw2004 and PI 7.0 ( Process Integration) is a part of NW2004s. Apart from the name change both provide the same features and every SP release of PI has a corresponding release of XI .

its just the name change with almost 95% same. there could be some differences but they are not that big.
