Could not start SAP GUI for Windows

I created an instance of "SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP and SAP BW 7.5 SP02 on SAP ASE 16.0 - Developer Edition" on Azure.

I encountered two problems in it:

- I couldn't find a "SAP Logon" icon - although the Welcome page says there should be one on my desktop.

- Trying to open any transaction from Eclipse, I receive an error message:

java.lang.IllegalStateException: Could not start SAP GUI for Windows: C:\Program Files\SAP\FrontEnd\sapgui\SapGuiServer

Indeed, there's no FrontEnd folder under C:\Program Files\SAP

Thanks.

Hello "M".

Did you check the location

%programfiles(x86)% ?

This is the location of SAPgui since it is a 32bit application, not a native 64bit application.

If it's not present in

C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP\FrontEnd\SAPgui

, then you need to download and manually install it.
