EBS: more than 1 posting rule for a transaction type

Hi all,

In EBS we have one transaction type which is to be posted in several ways depending on content of structured field 86: (Multicash MT942). For example, transaction type 200 represents both vendor and employee payments and there are different posting types for each case.

How can we further specify, which posting rule will be used? Search strings?

Hi John,

You can use the search string for this requirement. It can post in different posting rules.

Agreed! It's the only way without modification/exits.

Yes, you have to only do search string configurations. No exit required.
