HTTP/HTTPS Authentication at SMP

Hello Experts,

We are creating one SAP UI5 application which is consuming OData services. These OData services are created in SAP Gateway & rewriiten in SMP (by creating separate application & maintaining backend connection as Gateway services). We have created security profile by providing HTTP/HTTPS authentication provider, in this security profile we are providing one authentication URL which validates users after connecting to authentication server. We are able to register the user in SMP but once user is registered and then after calling to further Odata services, its asking for end point credentials (SAP Gateway credential) as in our scenario user password is different in Authentication server & sap gateway (but user id is same).

Do we have anyway such that all the authentication happens using HTTP/HTTPS URL & further OData calls happens to SAP gateway without asking gateway credential?

Thanks in advance

Kind regards,

Krishna

Please let me know, if you are aware of any process to achieve this, can we not authenticate at any authentication server and setup connection between Gateway & SMP (may be with any communication user of gateway), so, that once authentication is successful, Odata service call will not ask for end point credential again?

    Thanks

    Hi Krishna,

Did you make the SSO mechanism enabled? It's under Applications at the Backend tab.

    Best regards,

    Ákos
