Hello Folks
I am trying to start the SAP Webdispatcher (version 7.00) but it failis with the error message :
FATAL: SAP Web Dispatcher process 17220 still alive
FATAL: I better exit now to prevent any damage
I tried to kill this process 17220 (by the way this process was icman), but it restart again after a kill, so its a never ending loop. Any ideas how do I fix this? Is there a way to stop icman without restart and then start the sapwebdispatcher?
Thanks for your answers.
Cheers,
Lalit
Dear Lalit,
the problem is that you have configured the same number for the parameter
SAPSYSTEM.
The running ICM is creating shared memories for SAPSYSTEM = XX and
when the web dispatcher will be started with the same value configured for SAPSYSTEM, it believes that already a web dispatcher is running.
To avoid the interference you have to choose a different value for SAPSYSTEM
in the web dispatcher profile and afterwards it should come up without any problems.
Kind Regards
