Hi all,
How is it possible to get Header description of dynamic data columns dynamically??
Thanks and regards,
Harry
Hi all,
I think there is a bit confusion. I am talking about planning layout data column header description. I know how to get header description dynamically in BW reports. I would like to know how we can get this in planning layout? If there is any variable please give me type of variable.
Thanks,
Harry

Harry,
Don't have the system right now so going by memory.
There are 2 parts - you need to see how you specified the text replacement of the variable. Say on 0fiscper if you specify characteristic value it would show I think 001.2007, 002.2007, etc. If you use one of the text types, it would be based on the description.
I always have to think if I need to put the infoobject name or the variable name in the layout definition in the description part. Off the top of my mind, it would be the infoobject name i.e. 0fiscper for example

Hello,
You can try using Text Variables. These are selectable when you 'Edit' a Key figure used in your report. Simply click the 'Variables' box next to the description.
Thanks,
Nick

Hi,
Please put in the variable name in the Heading column. Also, on the first screen of the layout builder under additional settings in the text replacement select the proper text replacement.
Hope this was helpful.
thanks
