SLT - 1:n replication scenario using 2 different SLT systems

Hi ,

we have a scenario where we need to replicate same tables from the same ECC system to 2 different HANA systems using 2 different SLT systems.

BSEG in ECC TEST (Client 100) --> SLT TEST1 --> HANA TEST1

BSEG in ECC TEST (Client 200) --> SLT TEST2 --> HANA TEST2

My question is can we connect 2 different SLT systems to the same source ECC system but to different clients. Target will be 2 different HANA systems.

Is this supported? couldn't find anything in the documentation.

Thanks,

    Hi,
    theoretically it can work. You have to just persuade that both server get own different ID number for logging table. In such case every SLT server will have own logging table for table BSEG and own trigger set with according restrictions on client. And every trigger set will write the records in own logging table.
    I just not sure about what is SLT behaviour when second SLT server find the set of trigger but in different namespace (different ID number).
    You have to check this issue.

    It is possible as long as you select the option 'Allow multiple usage'.

    The option 'Allow multiple usage' is for 1:N

    Check the SLT operation guide page 20.

    Hi,

    Its a valid scenario and supported. As of now, you can replicate data from one source system to multiple target systems (1:N where N has max value as 4) provided you have selected " Multiple usage" option while creating the config.

    The same log table will be created in the source system, but the record will not be deleted until its transferred to both the systems. There is a counter field wiuth default value as 0 in the logging table, which keeps on incrementing by 2 for each target system transfer.

    Once data is transferred to all the connected systems, the record is deleted from logging table.
