Delta DTP created directly in production

Hi all,

We are currently working to make the process chain in sync with our development systems and production systems. But we have noticed that, some of the DTPs and IPs are created directly in production. In order to make the process chain in sync between Dev and Prod we have created the respective Delta DTP and IPs in Dev sys with exactly same filters, data source and targets and all.

Now my question is, if we move the change to Live, will it affect the Delta nature?

Hi;

Probably for Delta DTP you will have errors during the transport since is not possible to have several delta DTPs with the same selections.

I think you could try this:

1) Run the DTP in PRD to guarantee all the deltas are in the target

2) Change the DTP in PRD (put a dummy filter like date 01.01.1000)

3) Import the new DTP (that must excludes the dummy filter like date 01.01.1000)

4) Execute the new DTP with delta init without data transfer.
