Job Monitoring in solman 7.2

We have configured job monitoring between solution manager system and ERP system, to receive an email for failed batch job in ERP system .

After that, our solution manager get migrated from Oracle to Hana & updated from solution manager 7.1 to solution manager 7.2

As job contain many steps , it may fail on any step, for receiving an email for every step we have setup the Job Step No. as 1 ?and Start Procedure as Use Job start condition still we are unable to receive an email for failed job.

Same configuration has been done for all jobs, but we can receive an email only for 1 job whose configuration was done before migration. For remaining jobs solution manager is unable to retrieve data from ERP system.

Hello Tambat,

Do you know what to enter in Custom Job Details parameter in Job Monitoring Setup?Where can I find job Parameter?Is it possible to select multiple jobs in step 5 ?

Hello Rohan,

It seems is RFC connection error, please check if RFC connection works and ST-PI, ST-A/PI right versions are installed.

Before migration of solution manager we were able to receive an email for only 1 job & only for that step which was mentioned in Job monitoring. To receive an email for failed job for all the steps we have set the Job step No as 1 & Start procedure as Use Job start condition. Then we are able to receive an email for that job which may fail on any step .

After that we made same changes in all the jobs , still we are unable to receive an email for those job. To find out the RCA we were comparing those two jobs & found that Solution manager is unable to retrieve the data from ERP system may due to that solution manger is unable to send email for the failed batch jobs.

As per your screenshot SOST already send email out from Solution manager. Can you please check where is that email going?

Yes , SOST sent email to intended recipient only for that job which was mentioned in failed batch job screenshot. For other jobs we are unable to receive email from SOST.

Hello Rohan,

Select the job you are not getting alert for in Job Monitoring work center tab

on same screen after selecting job go to Alert configuration.

Can you please make sure it is configured properly.
