consume bex query in hana

Hello Gurus,

based on multiple BEx queries, I need to make a join and then publish the query result. How can I expose/consume the BEx query into HANA views? Any pointers would be helpful.

Thanks.

Hello,

Here are below steps to consume BEx query into HANA views:

1. Run transaction RSDDB. Enter SAP BW query name and click on : Release query as infoprovider.

2. Index maintenence screen is launched. Click on activate and fill index.

3. Log on to HANA Studio. Click on File---> Import.

4. On the Import screen, click the SAP HANA Content folder, and choose the Import SAP NetWeaver BW Models option.

5. Select the connection and provide a Username and Password to login to the SAP NetWeaver BW system to import an SAP NetWeaver BW model> Click Next.

6. Select the Target folder where you want to import SAP NetWeaver BW models by entering the Target Package on the screen.

7. Import BW Query and click “Next”. Note that imported models will be created as an SAP HANA model (analytic or calculation view) under the Target package.

thanks Neha for your inputs... in the meantime I went through these steps..this way is not possible for me since in RSDDB, it throws an error. "query has input-ready variables"

My query has variables(time based) in the key figure definition. Hence this way is not possible.

the other way, I was trying was to allow the infoprovider behind this query with "External SAP HANA view" option. Unfortunately, the query is built on Multiprovider and hence this way is also not possible. this is only valid with DSO/Infocubes/etc.
