Checks after phase MAIN_TRANSEXEC/STARTSAP_TRACT were negative!

Hi SAP Community,

We're trying to install SAP Netweaver 7.51 through the solution manager with the aid of this guidehttps://blogs.sap.com/2016/11/13/new-installation-of-s4hana-1610-part-2-installation/ by Mahesh Sardesai but we're facing a problem at MAIN_TRANSEXEC/STARTSAP_TRACT with the following error.

Last error code set: Process /usr/sap/S4H/D00/exe/sapcontrol exited with 2, see '/usr/sap/S4H/SUM/abap/log/SAPup.ECO' for details System start failed

We've try manually starting the Database through putty but it doesn't seem to work. Here are the logs, appreciate help with any suggestions as we've been going on for days with no success.

Hi Sean,

the semget error means that the system reached the maximum number of semaphore sets, or the maximum number of semaphores system wide. Please check "http://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/x/wIJaFg" and adapt your OS parameter (see also referenced notes).

The problem is most likely at the OS level. Have you set up the Linux (which distribution?) parameters according to the SAP recommendations? Supply the contents of /etc/sysctl.conf and /etc/security/limits.conf. Check the recommendation given in the below notes and configure the OS parameters. Activate them and restart the SAP system.
