SF Starter Extension Template not working after Q2 2017 - 1705

We have a site created with the SAP Cloud Platform Portal (SCP) Service. We used the SuccessFactors (SF) Extension as Template, which is available because we are using a SF-extended SCP account, meaning: it was created with the SF Extension Package. We use the SF template in order to show our app with the nice Successfactors header and footer.

During the weekend our SuccessFactors HCM 12 was upgreaded to Q2 2017 – 1705. Also, it seems that there were improvements in the SAP Cloud Platform. We don't know if any of the events is the root cause, but our site stopped working. In the browser's console log, we see multiple errors, starting with these two:

  1. failed to load Javascript resource: sap/cloud/cpv2SFheaderFooterPlugin/Component-preload.js -
  2. Uncaught Error: found in negative cache: 'sap/ui/core/Core.js' from <unknown>/sap/ui/core/Core: TypeError: (intermediate value).getInterface is not a function

As additional comment, the app works normally, when launched directly, without using the site, so it's clearly the site functionality what's failing, after some change not on our side.

Does anybody have a clue?

    Auto-provisional-answer :)

We opened an incident to SAP and they provided a workaround: In SuccessFactors backend (provisioning) of the extended account, check the "'Disable the Global UI consistency Header" checkbox.

Curiously, the first time we checked that box, it didn't work, but disabling and reenabling the checkbox the following day, made it work.

Still waiting for a definitive fix, but the workaround really works.
