Content_admn_Role not getting displayed properly

Hi,

I am using EP 7.0. I have assigned content_admin_role to few user but when they log in, the portal content folder is not visible under it(Content administration -> Portal Content ->Portal Content folder).

But once I am assigning Super_admin_role(the owner of content_admin_role) to them, they are able to see the portal content folder.

Similarly any role which referring to the PCD for its content(such as ESS/MSS role) are not getting assigned to the users, but they are visible once super_admin_role is assigned.

It seems there is some authoroization/security problem, as super_admin_role is needed to refer any role which is fetching the data from PCD.

Any solutions??

Pls note that I am using the host name and not the IP address in my browser URL.

Regards

Debasish,

Check if your role has end-user permission ticked and also full control.

Also maybe Role assigner permission may only be there for Super_admin.

Hi,

Yes the role has both end user permission and full control. Actually the portal is just being installed and the default roles have not been modified.

The problem is anything that is referring to the PCD needed Super_admin_role, be it ESS/MSS role, java_developer role, etc, etc. If I remove the super admin role from a user he cannot view any role which is referring to PCD.

I think some authorizations/security settings has gone wrong because of which super_admin_role is a must to refer anything which is present in portal content.

Any Suggestions?
