Hi all,
We use BW 3.5 for reporting and want to start with SCM 5.0 (with BI 7.0) for demand planning. We want to do all our reporting in the BW 3.5 system. The idea is to 'mirror' all relevant objects in the SCM system. Whether or not to use remote cubes is still doubtfull because we don't have facts about performance figures.
Does anyone have experiences with remote cubes?
Besides the differences in definitions and structures between BW 3.5 and BI 7.0, does anybody have experience with connecting SCM 5.0 with a BW 3.5?
Thanks for any help
Jean
After the SCM 4.1the system have an option to discart the combinations with 0 values. It´s a flag on the Datasource management.

We use remote cubes in our SCM solution. Performance is acceptable for DP "Remote cube". But if the data is fetched from SNP performance is slow. We also need to implement a start routine in the transfer structure to remove the zero records.
