Hi HR experts,
Please give me an idea on external object types and external infotypes.
Regards,
Aravind
Hi Aravind,
External objects and infotypes are those which 'belong' to another module. For example, K, cost center, is maintained and created in CO. It doesn't have an HRP1000 entry and a function module is used to derive it in PD/OM so it can relate to regular PD objects on IT1001. IT1610 is an example of an external infotype - the data is kept on t5u13 rather than hrp1610. But it can be related to PD objects (usually C.)
Cheers,
Sharon
