Bi Queries with interactive hierarchy support ?

Dear all,

When executing a Query with the Web Application Designer (WAD) you get automatically interactive possibilities for hierarchies e.g. expanding/collapsing nodes. I know there is an article available in this forum which shows how VC can use WAD functionality. But to be honest, the result is not really nice and of course it's a mixture of two technologies.

Wouldn't it be much better if VC supports this functionality in standard?

I have heard that it will be integrated with BI NW04s but I couldn't find any information on that.

Does anybody know more about this?

VC does not support hierarchies, the way you know it from BEx WAD. There is a workaround to use some of the hierarchu functionlaity:

In addition I would be interested if SAP plans in mid or long term to integrate the hierarchy functionality from WAD to VC.

Do you know something about this?

As far as I know there is supposed to be more hierarchy functionality, but not like in the BI, more like in the ALV.
