Lumira local mode denial option?

Its not clear to me what flavour of Lumira server (BI Platform or BO) would ensure that users could not save .lums files on their local workstation under any conditions (within the tool)? Or, is Lumira server in fact designed to be optionally invoked by the end user client, like SPSS Pro, etc?

Only way to ensure that users cannot saver files to BIP is to not add the BIP connection parameters under Preferences.

    • Hi Ludek - thanks for this!

Actually however, and maybe I wasn't clear then, what I want to know is whether saving .lums on the C: drive in the user profile area can be disabled within the tool if client-server is installed. With Lumira Desktop of course the .lums file must be stored there ( it is forced). However, if upgrading to client-server, which we're considering ,then can we ensure that Lumira users can only save to the BIP or server? The concern from our security people is that potentially compromising data (inside the .lums files) could be stored at all on the end user's local machine. Going client-server might ensure this then, or, and this is the question, does it actually really prevent the tool from permitting this?

Any further insight you might have into this greatly appreciated - we could not tell from the documentation (and we don't have Lumira installed yet).
