We have a legacy product that uses Crystal Reports 8.5.

After Microsoft's April 2017 Outlook 2013 and Outlook 2016 updates, our product

crashes when attempting to use the Export method on the RDC's craxdrt to email via Mapi using Outlook. Has anyone else experienced anything related? The Mapi export dll in question is: u2dmapi.dll

Yes it will crash and to be expected. CR 8.5 is 10+ years old and the RDC was discontinued in CR XI R2 ( 11.5 version ).

Back in Office 2010 Microsoft updated the MAPI driver to use an Extended set of API's, CR 2008 SP3 ( think ) is when we update the CR Mapi drivers to use the new set of API's.

CR 8.5 will not work with any new versions of Office, time to upgrade CR Designer and develop using CR for .NET:

And to be able to use MAPI in Outlook you need to install the Office 2010 Runtime, Office no longer supports MAPI and thus does not install it.
