Hello,

You should check the heterogeneus system copy guide.

It could interest you also the note 547314 FAQ: System Copy procedure

    • I repeatedly stumbled across such OSS notes,

where the SMP tells you that the note does not exist.

Can you please use your SAP internal connections that we all would

very appreciate getting a message that the message ist not current, a new version will be available soon

AND provide us with the previous version.

The discussions with the support people always ended with "put a development request".

And from your answer I learned that "I-Users" can see more. Good hint for the next time... 😉

      Kind regards

      Rudi

    Hi Madhukar,

Only SAP Certified OS/DB Migration Consultants should perform hetro system copies. They have attended specialised training (TADM70) on how to perform this process (including all the neat optermisation tips and tricks).

    Hello Madhukar,

I would recommend that you clearly identify the OS/DB of your Unix based system as well as the SAP release. You should also specify the target DB and SAP release

In addition to migrating to Windows, you may want to perform a Unicode conversion and/or a version upgrade.

Please review note Note 928729 - Combined Upgrade + Unicode Conversion FAQ

You will find some documents attached to this note. They detail the procedure.

I would recommend that only OSDB certified consultants attempt this procedure.

You can also fully review the content at https://service.sap.com/systemcopy

    Thanks

    N.P.C
