UWL Error - java.lang.NullPointerException

Dear All,

We are using the UWL for workflow items relating to ESS. (primarily for workflow items relating to leave)

When a employee requests for leave off a "leave request" standard iview, a task appears on the UWL that a leave request has been taken.

Whilst the employee keeps this particular UWL window open, and his superior logs on through his/her terminal and rejects such leave request, the subordinate proceeds to click on his/her UWL task item without actually refreshing his/her UWL. When this occurs, the following error crops up.

<b>java.lang.NullPointerException</b>

at com.sap.netweaver.bc.uwl.ui.control.UWLActionControl.handleActionFromTable(UWLActionControl.java:644)

at com.sap.netweaver.bc.uwl.ui.UWLMainView.onActionUWLActions(UWLMainView.java:607)

at com.sap.netweaver.bc.uwl.ui.wdp.InternalUWLMainView.wdInvokeEventHandler(InternalUWLMainView.java:469)

atcom.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.generation.DelegatingView.invokeEventHandler(DelegatingView.java:87)

at com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.controller.Action.fire(Action.java:67)

<b></b>

If the subornite refreshes his/her UWL before checking his task items in UWL there is no issue. But then again, we cant ask the users to do this.

What could be the issue?

Thanks and Regards,

Antony.
