Net value of Partially rejected line item

Hi All

I have created anew reason for rejection and did set up the X flag in Statistical Values. When i reject a open line item the value of that line item is taken out from the sales order net value but when i reject a partially delivered line item ,the value of the rejected Qty is not reduced from the Sales order value.

Is this standard behavior. How do i get the net value updated when the line is partially rejected.

1. Line 10 Qty 10 Net value 100$ Not delivered and then rejected net value becomes 0

2.Line 20 Qty 10 Net Value 100$ partially delivered lets say 5 EA and remaining rejected and after rejection is till see the net value of the sales order as 200$

Is there way that when the partially delivered line is rejected net value of the sales order reflects the change

The fact that you've delivered 5 items out of 100 does not change the net value of the line item. The quantity is still 100, it has certain price, so that gives you certain net amount. If you'd like to change the net value of the line item I believe you'd need to adjust the sales quantity to what was delivered.

I'm wondering though why it's needed at all. To report revenue, you can use billing documents. If you're using rejection to track something that you could not deliver (or a customer cancelled) then you'd still need the original value and then would need to compare it to the delivery documents.

We have a peculiar situation where we need the "true Value" of the document for some reporting purposes which is very dynamic and will be needed on transaction to transaction basis.

So my solution would be updating the SO line item Qty to the delivered Qty
