how many simultaneous sessions

Hi All,

Is there a parameter on the app server that limits the number of simultaneous SAPGUI sessions to 5? If so, is there a "real" limit and what might that be?

Thanks in advance for your help.

On a single logon the max number of sessions are only 5.

But when you logon second time then you can open 5 more sessions.

    Hope this may help you.

Why is it that there are just 6 sessions or 16 sessions? What's the significance behind having that specific number of sessions?

    Hi,

Maximum of six sessions can be opened for a single logon. If you need further logon you can login again with the option to keep the other logon open.

    Thanks.

    With Regards,

    Hi Randy,

Try look at profile parameter "rdisp/max_alt_modes" and it's description.

This parameter controls how many sessions are possible for one logon (2=>10).

To control multiple logon you can use profile parameter "login/disable_multi_gui_login", again try read it's documentation (Yes/no).

The combination of this two parameters is your "real" limit.

    (Also consider parameter "login/disable_multi_rfc_login").

    Regards

    Rolf
