Oracle upgrade from 10.2.0.2 to 10.2.0.5

Dear All,

Am trying to upgrade from oracle database from 10.2.0.2 to 10.2.0.5. I have downloaded the full installation media file for 10.2 and patch file for 10.2.0.5

-> extracted installation media file

-> extracted the patch file (10.2.0.5) under the same location of installation media present

-> new oracle home directory with name 10205 and kept env ORACLE_HOME to pointing the new location

-> starting the OUI from installation media file under SAP folder

above steps i have performed. When i complete the OUI steps, I cant see the all file related to oracle. Very few files are extracted under new oracle_home

My question:

Kindly confirm update steps are correct for oracle upgrade from 10.2.0.2 to 10.2.0.5.

Please guide to proceed further on the same.

Download and read the Oracle upgrade guide to 10G. It has all the information you need to update the Oracle database patchset to 10.2.0.5
