Hi,

Trying to bind my sample java app to a schema on HCP.

When executing the program it throws an error ":java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException: Not supported by BasicDataSource"

Did get the schema details using the neo command.

neo open-db-tunnel -i pXXXXtrial.persistencejpa.web -a pXXXXXtrial -h hanatrial.ondemand.com -u XXXXX
   Host name : localhost
   Database type : HANA
   JDBC Url : jdbc:sap://localhost:30315/?currentschema=NEO_4GPQBHRKLN3W4HPSGFBSMQ9ME
   Instance number : 03
   User : XXXX
   Password : XXXXXX
   Schema name : NEO_4GPQBHRKLN3W4HPSGFBSMQ9ME

Hi Chanaka,

Did you try attaching the binding via the SAP Cloud platform cockpit?

Programming with JPA, you have to use the "Java EE 6 Web Profile SDK".

Thanks,

Jin

Hi Wong,

Im using a sample JPA example provided in the SAP CP documentation.

This program when deployed on to CP it creates a schema and establishes the default binding.

All im trying to do is instead of binding it to the schema that by default generates, i want my application to use a schema that i defined.

So to connect to that schema, i had provided the schema info in my persistance.xml.

But doing so it throws me an error "java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException: Not supported by BasicDataSource".

Typically i want the application to connect to a schema that I need to rather than the container manged one.

I believe that is doable, not sure what Im missing in this.,..

Hi Chanakya,

Would you please send me the link of the JPA example you are talking about?

Thanks,

Jin
