day-to-day tasks of portal administrator?

Hellom,

What kinds of day-to-day tasks or knowledge are different that those needed to support backend SAP systems from the SAP Basis perspective?

I have thought of these ones:

-) more hands-on monitoring of Portal and j2ee is needed than in backend SAP systems where there are many automated tools available

-) restore, disaster recover are managed different as information is stored in both the DB and the OS

-) transports and change control is very different and it may require additional efford form SAP basis team

I will appreciate your feedback!
