$RCOMP adds a suffix (00) to the company code

Hi All,

I am amending a current role to change the company code. This generates and updates all fields and tables correctly, except AGR_1252 for value $RCOMP Company code is 4 digits, and here is displays as 6 - adding 00 in front. it is correct if you create a new role.

I have a number of roles to change,and don't want to have to delete and re create.

Please advise if there is a relevant note or solution?

Hi Leena,

$RCOMP is not company code field. This field is for "Company" field. The field for "Company Code" would be $BUKRS. Given you are looking at two different fields the values will not necessarily be the same. "Company" field has a length of 6 therefore when you are mistakenly putting in "Company Code" values which has a length of 4 it adds the two zeroes in front. Check with your functional team if you indeed are using the company field.
