System not allowing to enter Country code in FD01 and FD02

Dear SAP Experts,

We are facing an issue in our system with regards to the change and create activities for customer master Data. The system is not allowing to use the country code.

The error is as below :

The system is giving an error message "Please select Country in Address Tab as GB". The country is already selected but still the error message is displayed and the data cannot be saved.

The error message cannot be opened hence there is no diagnosis or error message.

Please suggest a solution to this.

Kind regards,

Sheena

can you post the error message number (double click the status message to get to the long text)

I never saw a message with such text, right now I guess it is a homemade message

How should the system know which country you have to enter if you are in a create transaction (FD01)

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

When I doubleclick on the error message status it does not give any long text nor a message number.

Also, the error message is same if I try to use any other country for the customer master.

Kind regards,

Sheena

this is just another indication for a homemade message. Ask your local IT support, ask your colleagues if your are a consultant, or let the ABAPer debug the coding.

Hi,

Thanks a lot for your prompt reply and help.

I have enquired with colleagues, none of them has seen a message like this.

So now I am waiting for response from the IT team.

Kind regards,

Sheena

so it was own programming as assumed by me?

if it was, then please accept the answer to close the question. This way the question is marked as answered in the overview and does not show up when selecting open questions. Further it gets a clear yellow indication to immediately inform future readers what the final answers was.
