Read timeout error in design studio

Hi,

While we open design studio and enter id/password, it throws timeout error after a long time for one user only.

Please help us to resolve the error.

Hi - is the add-on installed on the BI platform? Which version of Design Studio are you using? Which version of the BI platform are you using?

Hi,

Yes, add-on installed on BI Platform. and we are using DS 1.6 for BI Platform 4.2.

The thing is this issue for only one user rest of user have no issues.

I'm trying to think of a way you could profile that specific user. Do you use SSO? Is that user part of SSO? Can you try to run profiling on that user? See https://blogs.sap.com/2015/06/30/understanding-profiling-and-statistics-in-design-studio/

Hi,

Thanks for your inputs. User using Enterprise authentication and other user able to login in same system.

Is there any configuration setting we need set?

Is the user locked some where? In BI or your backend system?

Hi,

can you guide me where i need to check, user able to login CMC, BI Launch Pad and Webi from from BI Launch pad and he have full rights.

After adding that parameter user login time taking more then 15 min.. this is for all user.

Can you share the .log output found in C:\Users\<user>\Analysis-workspace\.metadata folder?

The issue is machine specific or user specific?

As per the screenshots it seems to be the default administrator user having the issue?

What is the "Prefered Startup mode" set in DS preference? I mean you are using BI Platform login and not HANA or BW system?
