ALV List /45b - wanting to suppress certain numeric type cells output?

Hi,

I have a working ALV List report, and the columns of the report should be numeric type.

I'd like to have an output table looking like this:

Material Plant_A Plant_B Plant_C Plant_D

13253419 263.10
13253419 0.00
13261555 34088.00 1704.40 1704.40
13261555 182.00 0.00 0.00
13261555 832.00 0.00 0.00
13265078 4559.12 1452.21 1452.21
13265078 48.00 0.00 0.00
13265078 138.00 0.00 0.00
13268746 331.50
13268746 0.00
13268746 85.14-
13277326 3073.02 2964.73

- where there are 3 possible states / desired report outputs:

1) data exists with non-zero value => display
2) data exists with zero value => no-display
3)  data does not exist               => no-display

I can achieve the above output display, but with the columns defined as CHAR, and state (3) with initial values in the ALV Output table cells.

The problem is, downloading the CHAR columns to XL doesn't work very well

- the numbers are not numeric in XL, so need to be formatted, and the negative numbers are not too good.

Using Suppress Zeros doesn't help me, as it will suppress both (2) & (3) if the columns are numeric datatype.

Any ideas appreciated - either on suppressing certain numeric cells - or improving the XL download with CHAR data.

Thanks in advance,

JJ
