Log on as AD user id, store SAP user id in the SAPLOGONTICKET

All,

I have a requirement to have users logging on using their active directory id. This itself is not a problem. However our SAP user id's are limited to 12 characters, so our AD user id's will be different to the SAP user ids. This means that SSO will not work.

I can populate the AD with the SAP user id's and add an additional attribute in the UME configuration file to pick this up.

My problem is though that I would like this user id to go into the SAPLOGONTICKET as the SAP user id, which will result in SSO working.

Unfortunately, as we're using webdynpro, I don't think that using a reference system will work.

We are running EP7 btw.

Any suggestions welcome.
