Hi All,
Can any body give me a detail and exact description about 'Day Balance' and 'Period Balance' fields used under 'Base Emtitlement' subtree option of V_T559L.
Thanks,
Swapnil
Hi Mishra
In Base Entitlement table we have to mention the balance.
Actually the exact configuration of the day balance and period balance will be done while creating the time types.( Time Evaluation )
Day Balance : If an employee has to work 8 hours a day. And if he is attending only 6 hours a day. The balance 2 hours will be stored in Day Balance. And we have to mention a number in the day balance field.
Period Balance : If an employee has to work 40 hours a week and if he attended only 30 hrs. The balance 10 hours will be stored in Period Balance. Or otherwise we can say that the group of day balances can form the period balance.
Please let me know if u r not clear with this.
Cheers

Hi Vijai,
Thanx for the inFo, the explanantion is clear, but can you please elaborate a detailed explanation how these "day balances" n " period balances" comes in to picture when defining 'time-types' during 'Time Evaluation'.
I am not able to get the practical semantics of the same.
Thanks,
SWapnil
ya swapnil
In defining the time types in t555a, you can choose the balances.
If you say Day balance as 01, while evaluating the TM00, the system captures the balances. and the same for period balance also.
if you want to see the exact picture of the results of balances. you can go for the transaction code PT40. If you are not getting output in PT40 pls let me know , i will give you the configuration tips regarding this.
Cheers

Hi Swapnil,
Pls try the following.
Please check whether the Time Types created or not. If not pls go to T555A and create time types.
And check the time type determinations ( T555Z).
In configuring the T555Z you need to assign the appropriate processing type for each and every identifier.
And go to schema TM00 and check the functions CUMBT and QUOTA.
Check the employee sub group grouping for the PCR. The same grouping you have to give for the Schema Function DAYMO. and the same grouping you have to maintain in the T510S also.
And finally you will get the output in the PT40, for cumulated balances. time balances, time levelling, etc.
( Actually these types of clarifications we need to clarify face to face) Any way hope you will get the solution for you thread, otherwise we will go for another way for the clarification of your thread.
Cheers
Vijai
