Hi all

We have a scenario to integration both accounts and employees stored in ERP with C4C. However, the employees are currently not stored as HR employee but as account. I will these call Account-Employees from now on. Using a self-referencing partner function Account-Employees can be identified in ERP. Moreover, the Account-Employees are linked to Accounts with a series of partner functions which correspond to the C4C Account Team Party Roles.

Our requirements now are:

  • Replicate Accounts from ERP to C4C >>> C4C Customer
  • Replicate Account-Employees from ERP to C4C >>> C4C Employee
  • Replicate relationships between Accounts and Account-Employees to C4C >>> C4C Account Team

Our understanding is that the standard C4C employee interface is meant to work with the HR structure using IDOC hrmd_a07 when sending employees to C4C through PI.

Based on this we have questions. What is the best practice in this case?

  1. Shall we leave the the Account-Employees as accounts and ensure in ERP that the right HRMD IDocs are triggered?
  2. Shall the addressing of the right interface be handled on PI?
  3. Shall we copy all Account-Employees to HR employees to be able to leverage the standard interface better?

We always need to keep in mind the requirements defined above. Having the ERP partner functions as Account Team in C4C is crucial.

Thank you very much and best regards
Stefan

Hi all

We have decided to create Employees in ERP using the HR module to enable proper Setup and integration. This means we can build upon the Standard employee Interface.
