ECC60 install asks for Business Suite Java 2005 DVD

Hi

SAPINST is asking for the Java Component BS200SR1 DVD. It is in the install manual for SAP ERP 2005 SR1 ABAP+Java at page 53 as "Business Suite Java DVD". It does not exist according to the reply to my message with SAP support (documentation error!).

It is not the SAP Netweaver 2004s SR1 Java Components DVD number 51031693 as it has already asked for that DVD and when I specify the path to the copy made of that DVD I get the following error window:

>>>SAP:JAVA-DVD:700SR1:content:*:D51031693

>>> but need the label SAP:UT_ERP:ERP05SR1::😘

It also does not get you past this step if you leave the field blank and untick the Check location box.

Any ideas?

Hi Michael,

just one information: since about 4 weeks BS2005 SR2 is out => a lot less trouble and less Support Packs to implement ...

I didn't check for the details of the CD numbers now.

have to go to bed now ...

I know the CD should be named: 51031807

In their wisdom SAP do not ship the "mySAP Business Suite 2005 Java Components" DVDs (either 51031807 for SR1 or 51032269 for SR2) in the box labelled mySAP ERP 2005.

You will find it in either the SAP SRM, SAP SCM or SAP CRM shipment boxes. !

If you are installing ECC 6 or CRM, SRM, SCM 5.0 I would stongly suggest ordering the SR2 kit on the software catalog and use the new DVDs.

I would guess, SAP ships in the NetWeaver box ... ?

but, it doesn't matter ... should be available in the boxes ...

and yes: SR2 is far better than SR1 ...

Hello Michael,

the NetWeaver Java DVD that you mention only contains the Java content for the Usage Types that come with the NetWeaver (that is, MI, BI, DI, PI, EP, EPCore).

If the installation is asking for the Business Suite Java DVD, you selected Usage Types that belong to the Business Suite products, for example ESS-MSS or Biller Direct.

DVD name is BS 2005 SR2 Java Components (DVD 51032269)

As you need BS 2005 SR1 Java Components (not SR1 - or use all DVDs from SR2), you should be able to recognize the DVD the following way:

The DVD will have a J2EE_OSINDEP directory (just like the NetWeaver Java DVD), and inside, you can find subdirectories for UT_ERP, UT_CRM etc. Important for you (as you install ECC) should only be the UT_ERP subdirectory.

Do you have this DVD?

Here the right media number for SR1:
