getRemoteDevelopmentConfigurationError

Hello,

when we try to use our Developer Studio client on the local PC to IMPORT objects from the backend NWDI, we are able to see the Objects listed in a directory list but if we click on one and try to IMPORT it we get the following error:

getRemoteDevelopmentConfigurationError

this error comes up in a popup screen.

Does anybody have any ideas how to get past this error ?

Thanks,

Petr.

HI

the list of available DevConfigs are coming from SLD, the content itselfis stored in CMS. The DevConfig entry on SLD must be associated with a

CMS server entry.

On SLD go to Administration -> Class Browser, search for category

"Design Time Configuration". There you will find all known DevConfigs

(Instances) linked to instances of category "Change Management Server".

Try to remove the given DevConfig in SLD and re-save the track(s) in

the CMS WebUI, i.e.:

go to the CMS Web UI i.e. http://<host>:<port>/devinf

> Change Management Service > log on > Landscape Configurator >

> choose 'Track Data' tab > Save those tracks you have problem with,by clicking on the 'save' icon, then try to reproduce the problem in

NWDS. You should probably try also to remove the development configu-

ration(s) in NWDS, and then try to reproduce the problem.

Hi

this error appeared last week. We had installed the NW 2004s SR2 whit ABAP-, Java-stack, DI and MaxDB. I had written a SAP-notification and anytime the SAP employee answered, that it can be an incompatibility to MaxDB. So, we had installed the system once again whit oracle and the same error appeared. But when we update our Software stack from SP9 to SP11, everything works fine.

That was just our solution for this problem. I don't know exactly, if it solves other problems whit the same error

Hi Laxmi,

Check u r SLD connections are up and running, if there is no problem with SLD then check you have CMS import role or not. The reason imports fails either bcoz of communication or not having proper roles, check this and let me know .
