Hello everyone,

I just started learning MI. I downloaded Blackberry JDE & simulator.

I already developed a webdynpro application in NWDS. I want them to be available in mobile.

Would anyone help me to identify the needed stuff to download & view the webdynpro application in Blackberry.

Please correct me if I'm wrong

Thanks for all your help.

Hi Bris

MI neither supports Blackberry nor does it support Web Dynpro Application. Which means the application you have developed cannot run on MI. What you require to achieve you objective is to user Mobile Web Dynpro Online which is supported on Blackberry as well as has the capability to run Web Dynpro application on Blackberry.

Please refer to this link for more info on Mobile Web Dynpro Online

https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/33cba6e3-0601-0010-73b1-979...

Hope this helps.

Hi Bris,

Adding to JO's reply.

MI supports two types of application:

1) Applications developed using Generic sync.

2) Applications developed using Smart sync.

By using Generic sync we can develop client side using AWT.

By using Smart sync we can develop client side using JSP.

There are few ready made applications developed using both (Generic & Smart)

MAM (MobileAsset Management),MSR-------Applications developed using Smart sync.

MSA,MTT(Mobile Time & Travel)------using Generic sync.

Similarly Mi is so flexible that we can create our own applications using any one types(smart/generic).

Can find much details in JO's reply above.

Hope this is helpful.

Hi Bris,

All you need apart from the MI Client and the MI Server is Netweaver Developer Studio (NWDS) or eclipse with the Mobile Development Kit(MDK) Plugin.

Best of luck with your application!, The community is here to help!

Hi Bris,

Adding to the above post.

Apart from MI client, MI server, MDK/NWDS.

To make the application run on MI client we also need the following software installables:

MI client(WIN32/pc/laptop).....J2SDK(java),(.exe files to install the Miclient)

MI client(PDA).......................Creame(acts as JVM),.CAB file.

The above things are required to install MI client and also run the application on it.

Cheers,

Karthick

Hi Bris,

It not available on sdn for sure.

You can find it here:

1. Go to service.sap.com/swdc

2. Click on 'Search for all categories' in the left-hand column

3. In the search input type 'MI Client'

4. You can select of the first 3 options; first one allows choose either MI client 2.5 or 7.0, second one only MI client 2.5 and the third one MI client 7.0.

MI Client 2.5 can be used with NW2004 and MI clinet 7.0 with NW2004s.

You can get the installation guides at:

1. Go to service.sap.com/instguides.

2. Click on 'SAP NetWeaver' in the left-hand column. Then 'Release 04' -> 'Installation' -> select 'SAP MI' and u r there.

I am also providing a link which would be very helpful to you with MI:
