Hi All,

All of my old projects are missing from Web IDE workspace. How can I retrieve them? Please suggest. Thanks!

Hi,

Some more details might be helpful...
In which environment are you working? What is your Web IDE URL?
What were you doing before the projects went missing?
All projects went missing or only some of them?
Did you use Git as source control in these projects? If so you can clone them to your workspace again.
Was there something helpful in the console of your browser?

Regards,
Michal.

Hi,

Thank you for your reply. I had all the projects on SAP Web IDE and I didn't do anything peculiar. I had created these projects last year and then didn't log in for a long time. Now, when I checked the Web IDE, the workspace is completely blank and all of my projects are missing. My Web IDE URL is -

https://webide-s0008765178trial.dispatcher.hanatrial.ondemand.com/

Unfortunately, my projects are not on Git and there was no information/error in the console.

Few days back I created a new dummy project and it is available till today but none of the previously created projects are available. Please check the same.

Thanks,

Abhi

Hi Abhi,

I will ask my colleagues to take a look, they will probably need more details but they will ask you directly.

I recommend at least for your current projects to keep them in a Git repository. You are using a free trial account and I can't guarantee a restore of any missing resource.

Regards,
Michal.

Hi Abhi,

I consulted with my colleagues and we don't have a way to restore projects this old.

Also I took a look at the license agreement of using the hanatrial account and found this paragraph:

14. TERM AND TERMINATION. The term of this Agreement shall begin on the date you first access the Service and shall end upon termination by either party. You may terminate this Agreement at any time during the term upon ten days' advance written notice to SAP. Your failure to access the Service for a period of 30 days will be deemed a termination of this Agreement by You. The SAP HANA multitenant database container will run for periods of 12 hours once started. If the SAP HANA multitenant database container remains in a stopped state for 14 days, it will be removed from the Platform. SAP will provide three days’ notice of the planned deletion of the SAP HANA multitenant database container and you will be able to retrieve your data prior to removal.

So I guess since you say you didn't login for a long time the process of termination has begun. You probably got the warning email and if you didn't respond then the relevant database was deleted.

Regards,
Michal.
