Save Option before change of variable values in web layout

Hi All,

I would like to see a message box poped up when the user changes the values of the variables. The message box should provide a save/no save option to the user before changing the data in the layout as per the new variable values.

I am trying to do this in the web layout. We are on netweaver 2004S and SEM 6.

Can anyone share some insights on how to accomplish this?

Thanks for your help!

Bala

generally you would need to replace your standard variables with user exit variables coded to invoke a custom dialog to suit your purpose

Changing user variables to exit variables will not help in this situation. I need to pop up a dialog box just like a windows word message saying whether the user wants to save before exiting.
